A Workshop with Mosaic Artist Gabrielle Rousso and Rabbi Robin Damsky
Each year we devote a month to preparation for the High Holidays. This is the month of Elul – an acronym in Hebrew for, “I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine,” (Song of Songs). As we engage this month of self-reflection, what better place to begin with than focusing on caring for ourselves as the beloved?
In this workshop we will use song, music, text, conversation and writing to learn about Elul and prepare us to then design a mosaic art piece that will reflect our personal path of self-care and renewal.
You will design your mosaic one piece at a time. Each piece has its own shape, color, and texture, yet together the pieces you choose will create something whole and beautiful that represents you on your path.
All are welcome!
