Hashkatah/Shavasana

Hashkatah is a practice created by the Piasezcner Rebbe in the Warsaw Ghetto during WWII. As a prisoner and leader, he created this powerful healing mindfulness practice which has a deep capacity for restoring and giving hope. BKS Iyengar taught a different process: a resting practice in the Shavasana pose (at the end of most yoga sessions) that calms and restores. Through experimentation I discovered that blending these two practices offers extraordinary opportunities to heal our sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems, giving us new choices. Whether you are dealing with trauma, PTSD, or just regular-old stress, this course can offer deep healing and renewal.
